Christophe LENOUVEL

SOLVO CAPITAL

Co-founder & CEO

Description

In 1998, Christophe began his career at BNP Paribas in Acquisition Finance, in Paris and London. He joined the bank's proprietary investment team in 2008 (Principal Investments) on minority private equity, subordinated debt and the launch of the secondary activity. In 2012, Christophe took over the responsibility of this Principal Investments team (45 people), accelerating in the Private Assets on 2 axes: 1- investment in funds (private equity, private debt, infra, etc...), building a portfolio of ca. 130 funds / 70 GPs 2- Direct minority investments in LBO / cap dev, with a strong flexibility of intervention (co-investments, direct 2ndaries (GP-led / continuation vehicles), preferred equity, mezzanine, ...). The pace of investment was €500 to €600 million/year, split 50/50 between these 2 axes. In 2019, with the support of the top-management of the Bank, he launched the management company BNPP Agility Capital, approved by the AMF, in order to open the activity of minority direct investments in private equity (including co-investments and direct 2ndary/GP-led) to third parties. A 1st fund of €740 million was raised, significantly above the target of €600 million. After 25 years, Christophe left BNP Paribas in order to launch, together with Arnaud Martin (they have been working together for nearly 20 years), SOLVO CAPITAL in September 2024, a new private equity player focused on the GP-led secondaries / direct secondary market, with the objective to raise a 300 to 400 M€ fund. A fisrt closing is planned before year end, notably with the strong support of cornerstone investors.
