Jakob Kjellberg is an experienced finance and investment professional with over two decades of private equity expertise. He serves as a Partner and Co-Portfolio Manager at Njord Partners, the firm he co-founded in 2013, where he is responsible for directing the company’s investment activities and strategic vision.
Njord Partners is a special situations investment manager focused on providing flexible, long-term capital solutions to mid-market companies across Western Europe. Strategy that involves investing across opportunistic credit, distressed debt and turnarounds. With assets under management in excess of €1.2 billion, the firm is recognised for its sophisticated approach to navigating diverse capital structures, economic environments, and industry sectors.
Alongside his responsibilities at Njord Partners, Jakob holds board positions at Ambassador Cruise Line and Red Funnel and acts as a senior industrial advisor to Asterion Industrial Partners. He also chairs the advisory board of euroAtlantic Airways, an aircraft leasing and charter business, and serves as board chair overseeing RETN’s international network operations.
Prior to co-founding Njord Partners, Jakob spent almost 10 years in the European private equity and infrastructure groups of KKR.
Jakob holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
