Preetham Nanda is the Head of US Credit, Rates, and Securitized Indices within J.P. Morgan's Global Index Research team, part of the firm's top-ranked Global Research business. He also heads the firm's Private Assets indices franchise (JPAX), extending J.P. Morgan's benchmarking capabilities into private credit and alternative markets.
He oversees the development, strategy, and management of the firm's US fixed income index franchise across investment grade and high yield credit, rates, and securitized products — including the CLOIE family of indices, the industry standard for CLO benchmarking with over 95% market share and approximately ＄140 billion in assets tracked across funds and ETFs. He led the launch of the Euro CLOIE index in 2024, extending the franchise into European CLO markets, and continues to drive its expansion across credit, securitized, and private assets benchmarks.
Preetham has spent over 17 years on the J.P. Morgan index team. He joined in 2008 and spent seven years in London building expertise across European rates and emerging markets indices before returning to lead the US franchise. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he worked at BlackRock and Merrill Lynch. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Psychology from Rutgers University and an M.Sc. in Finance from London Business School.
