Marco Piana is the founder and Managing Partner of Vam Investments, a Milan-based private equity firm focused on buy-and-build consolidation in the Italian mid-market.
Since 2020, Vam has deployed over €390m across ten platform investments and completed more than 45 add-on acquisitions, with realised DPI in the top global decile. The firm is currently raising Fund II, its first institutional commingled vehicle.
Marco began his career at McKinsey & Co. and held investment roles at Investitori Associati, Magenta, and 3i Group, serving as a Partner at Fondo Italiano d'Investimento before founding Vam in 2011.
He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino
