Udayan has spent over 25-years focused on how financial services business models evolve as economies digitise, with experience spanning developed and growth markets globally. His career that sits at the convergence of investing, financial infrastructure, and technology‑enabled business models well before “fintech” became a defined asset class.
Prior to co-founding Apis, Udayan co-founded and led Anthemis Group, the first specialist global investor in FinTech based in London where he made 32 investments including well-known names such as Simple, Betterment and Trov. Prior to that he was Global Head of Financial Technology Advisory at Deutsche Bank.
At Apis, Udayan has led investments across payments, embedded finance, insurance, lending, and wealth management, backing profitable high growth businesses with a clear path to value creation and exit.
