GREENCODE VENTURES
Founder & Managing Partner
Description
Terhi Vapola is the Managing Partner & Founder of Greencode Ventures, a female-founded, pan-European VC firm investing in AI-driven digital solutions transforming energy and industry. Greencode backs Europe's most ambitious founders building the infrastructure for a more efficient, resilient, and green future.
Terhi brings a rare combination of operator, builder, and investor experience to the intersection of climate and venture. She founded Helen Ventures — the investment arm of leading Nordic energy company Helen — building it into a strong pan-European portfolio and steering it to its first exit. Before that, she co-founded multiple startups and spent over a decade driving global business growth at Nokia across R&D, product management, sales, and corporate venture acquisition.
This breadth gives her a practitioner's view on what it actually takes to build and back companies that matter. She holds a D.Sc. from Aalto University and degrees in Technology Management, Industrial Economics, and Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
She is a Kauffman Fellow — part of one of the most prestigious leadership networks in venture capital globally — and a member of European Investment Bank's Women Climate Leaders Network. Terhi is a frequent speaker at leading European and global industry events, including the OECD, Arctic15, GoWest, the Drop, and Ecosummit, as well as a regular voice in media and podcasts covering green transition and venture capital.
