Diego is a general partner at Acurio Ventures, where he joined at inception in early 2018.
Diego leads Acurio's fund investment program, which includes 20+ VC fund investments and currently focuses exclusively on fund-level secondaries in Europe, providing liquidity to both GPs and LPs thorough different structures. He is also responsible for fundraising and investor relations.
Before Acurio, Diego was country manager and VP of business development at CrossLend, a German fintech backed by renowned VCs, and before that he was VP of growth at NativeAd, a Spanish startup in the digital advertising space. Previously, he developed his career in the legal sector in renowned international firms such as Linklaters - where he was director of business development and marketing in Spain and the United States - and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer - where he was a lawyer focused on private equity, M&A, and financing.
He holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, and law and business degrees from the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain.
