Isabelle Freidheim is the Co-Founder and former CEO of AI company Magnifi, acquired in 2020, and the Founder and Managing Partner of Athena Capital, a growth equity investment fund.
Athena deploys private equity capital into leading technology businesses, with a focus on high-liquidity opportunities. The fund drives both transaction-driven and fundamental value by accelerating expansion, sourcing strategic acquisitions, guiding companies through IPOs, and broadening exit optionality through access to global capital.
The firm is advised by a council of 30 operating partners, including current and former Fortune 100 and 500 board members, CEOs, founders, institutional investors, and regulators. This network provides Athena with board-level expertise, strategic support, and elite access, creating exit specific and complementary value alongside existing investors.
Under Isabelle’s leadership, Athena has built a record of identifying transformative companies and has raised over $1.2 billion across investment vehicles.
Isabelle has more than two decades of experience in finance and technology, and was recognized as the youngest female chair of a publicly traded company in the United States. Isabelle has served on NYSE and Nasdaq-listed boards and has deep expertise in AI, corporate growth, and transaction-driven value creation.
Born and raised in France, Isabelle holds a BA and MBA from Columbia University. She was named one of Inc.'s 250 Founders (2024), is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and an alumna of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women.
