The awards are open to private market products, wealth management firms, private banks, fund managers, wealth technology companies, and partnerships who have demonstrated outstanding performance and innovation in their respective fields, and who have a regulatory authorization to commercialize financial products or services within the EU or the EEA (where applicable to the category). None of these require applications. The Personalities of the Year awards recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the democratization of private capital markets for wealth investors; candidates may be proposed by industry journalists and are named by the jury.

Authorization and Confidentiality Entrants expressly authorize IPEM to use the information completed in the Application and supporting materials for the purposes of the awards organization, including but not limited to eligibility assessment, evaluation by the jury, and selection of finalists. Entrants further authorize IPEM, together with its quality partner Indefi, to analyse the body of submitted applications in order to (i) provide each candidate with feedback on their own application, including its positioning against relevant market benchmarks and trends, and (ii) produce aggregated market-trend insights that IPEM and/or Indefi may share or publish.
Any such aggregated insights are presented in aggregate only and never disclose information relating to an individual application. Confidentiality Protection: All Application materials and supporting documentation are considered confidential information and trade secrets, except for publicly available information. Access to these materials is strictly limited to individuals who have executed confidentiality agreements with IPEM, including:
IPEM employees or representatives in charge of the awards organization
Subcontractors in charge of the awards organization
Jury members
All authorized personnel are bound by confidentiality obligations and may not disclose, reproduce, or use any confidential information for purposes other than the evaluation and organization of the IPEM Wealth Awards. This confidentiality obligation shall survive the completion of the awards process.
6. Acceptation and rejection of application
IPEM may at any time request modifications or additional information from an applicant company. Each application is first reviewed for eligibility and completeness before any entry fee is due (see Section 7). IPEM may reject any application without justification. In the event an application is rejected after an entry fee has been paid, the applicant is entitled to a full refund of the entry fee related to that particular application.
7. Entry fees
Application review and validation before payment: In 2027, applications are first reviewed and validated by IPEM before any payment is requested. Only applications that have passed this initial eligibility and completeness review are invited to pay the entry fee. This process ensures that every paid application meets the required standard of completion and has a genuine opportunity to be assessed by the jury.
Pricing Structure:
First application: €1,000 excluding VAT (€1,200 including VAT).
Each additional application: 20% discount.
IPEM may issue discount codes, including full-waiver codes, at its sole discretion.
Special Provisions:
For the Best Wealth Partnership award, only one participant presenting the candidature on behalf of itself and its partner(s) shall be invoiced for the total amount.
The invoice is issued after the application has been reviewed and validated. Payment must be completed before the application is forwarded to the jury.
8. Jury, Public Vote, and Attribution of Awards
8.1 Jury Composition and Process
Entries received by the 30 October 2026 deadline, whose entry fee has been settled by 5 November 2026 and which are not subject to rejection, will be submitted to the IPEM Wealth Awards Jury, an independent body of private assets and wealth management professionals and technology or innovation experts selected by IPEM, organized into panels by award family. Indefi acts as IPEM's independent quality partner for the review of applications. The jury will review all accepted entries in each category and grade them according to the specific evaluation criteria established for each award category, as described in the Candidates' Manual.
8.2 Champion Selection
In each category, the jury will designate three champions. These three champions are the category's finalists, who proceed to the public vote and to the awards ceremony. The champions will be notified in December 2026, after the jury meeting, held over two days during the week of 7-11 December 2026.
Up to one month before IPEM Wealth, IPEM will communicate publicly on the champions in each category. In January 2027, IPEM Wealth participants will have the opportunity to vote for the champions in each category through the designated voting platform.
8.4 Podium Ranking (Gold / Silver / Bronze)
In each category, the three champions are ranked on the podium — Gold, Silver and Bronze — based on:
Jury global score: 90% weight
Public vote results: 10% weight
Where two or more champions obtain an equal combined result, they are ranked ex aequo.
8.5 Jury Independence
The jury acts in total independence. The jury is allowed to move any entry to a more appropriate category and consequently judge it in that category. Members of the jury will not be able to participate in the evaluation for a category in which their organization/institution would be either a candidate or directly or indirectly involved. The jury's decision is final and confidential and will not have to be justified.
8.6 Winner Announcement
Winners of the awards will be notified after closing of the votes shortly before the IPEM Wealth event. Winners will be publicly announced during the IPEM Wealth Awards ceremony on 3 February 2027. In addition to the competitive awards, the jury will attribute the three Personalities of the Year awards (Theme 6), and IPEM and Indefi will jointly award the Strategic Initiative of the Year distinction, to individuals and initiatives that have contributed significantly to the democratization of private capital in Europe. These distinctions do not require applications.
9. Champions and visual elements
9.1 Additional Materials
Champions will be asked to provide additional visuals and promotional materials (recommended technical specification: 500x500px) that will be used to promote the event before the ceremony, displayed during the online voting process, presented during the IPEM Wealth Awards Ceremony, and may be used for promoting the awards after the event. IPEM reserves the right to choose which elements will be displayed and modify these elements if needed to guarantee the quality of the event and ongoing promotion of the awards.
9.2 Information Sharing
Champions accept that the additional materials provided under Section 9.1, including photographs and other promotional content, may be forwarded to third parties for the purposes of conducting the online vote, organizing the ceremony and promoting the IPEM Wealth Awards. This authorization does not extend to confidential application data, which remains protected under Sections 5.5 and 12.1.
9.3 Intellectual Property Protection
Champions certify and guarantee that they have been authorized by potential co-creators or third parties.  Champions shall hold the Organizer harmless from and against any risk of claims or actions by third parties, both during and after the performance of the Competition on the grounds of an infringement of their rights, particularly regarding intellectual property rights in the elements supplied by the  Champions under the terms of these Rules. In the event that proceedings are issued against the Organizer on these grounds, all duties, costs, fees and damages that it may be ordered to pay shall be borne by the   Champions.  Champions undertake to provide the Organizer with the name of the photographer for any photograph supplied (photo credit).
9.4 Media Rights
For a period of five (5) years, for any informational, promotional, marketing and/or commercial purposes, the Organizer may:
Photograph and make video or audio recordings of the IPEM Wealth Awards
Broadcast, live or deferred, the Recording of the IPEM Wealth Awards on tangible or intangible media platforms
Adapt the Recording to be included within a compilation and represent, reproduce, distribute and market the said compilation
Communicate the Recording on all media, notably digital media and internet, it being specified that the Organizer shall not be held liable for uses of any nature that may be made of the Recording by third parties on such media
9.5  Champions Logo Usage
Only award champions and winners are allowed to use the name and logo of the IPEM Wealth Awards in the form and conditions transmitted by the Organizer, on all institutional, commercial and promotional documentation. This authorization is granted for a limited period of one (1) year from the date of the IPEM Wealth Awards Ceremony.
IPEM Wealth Awards Dinner Ceremony
The winners will be announced during the IPEM Wealth Awards Dinner to be held during IPEM Wealth in Cannes on 3 February 2027. In case an award is attributed to them, competitors commit themselves to have an Official representative at the ceremony to collect their award on stage. The awards ceremony will be photographed and recorded for the purposes of promoting the IPEM Awards, the winners and their product(s) or services. Winners authorize the Organizer and their representatives to photograph and film the ceremony directly or indirectly, including their likenesses and voices, together with any elements related to their competition entry, and to reproduce and broadcast those photographs and videos to the public by any means for promotional purposes.
11. Force Majeure
In the event of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances resulting in the impossibility of organizing IPEM Wealth, the IPEM Wealth Awards shall be cancelled without any indemnification whatsoever.
"Force Majeure" means any health, climate, economic, political or social situation at the local, national or international level: (i) Which could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of entering into the participation contract, (ii) Which is beyond the control of the parties, and (iii) Which precludes the performance of the parties' obligations, and, in particular, the holding of the event, or which poses a risk of disturbances likely to seriously affect the organization and the smooth running of the event or the safety of persons and property.
12. Confidentiality and Privacy
12.1 Confidentiality
All information contained in candidate application files is considered confidential information and trade secrets, except for publicly available information, and will not be disclosed at any time by the Organizer, except as provided in Sections 5.5 and 12.7. For finalists only, the Organizer may use visual materials and information as specified in Section 9 (Finalists and Visual Elements) for ceremony and promotional purposes. All application information will only be accessible to persons in charge of the organization of the awards (employees, experts and service providers of the Organiser, jury) who have executed confidentiality agreements with IPEM, for the sole purpose of organizing the awards and selecting the winners. These confidentiality obligations remain in effect permanently.
12.2 Data Processing
The Organizer collects Applicants' personal data through the application process and during participation in the event. The data is processed by the Organizer for the purposes of carrying out its contractual obligations (customer database management, events, services and ticketing management, invoicing and cash collection management), promoting its activity, and the production of anonymised, aggregated analyses of the applications received, as described in Section 12.7. Such data is stored for a maximum duration of 10 years.
12.3 Data Sharing
This personal data can be:
Integrated into the online database available to Participants to enable them to prepare the event and schedule business appointments
Transmitted to sub processors that have undertaken to comply with Data Protection Laws requirements, some of which may be located outside the European Economic Area (including Anthropic, in its capacity as provider of the Claude models referred to in Section 12.6)

12.6 AI-Assisted Processing of Applications
In the course of organizing the IPEM Wealth Awards, the Organizer may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the administrative handling and analysis of application materials — for example, completeness and consistency checks and the extraction of sourced information to support the jury's review. Such tools are used only to support, and never to replace, the jury's evaluation and decision-making, which remain fully human. Where such tools are used, application data is processed using Claude models provided by Anthropic under IPEM's professional (corporate) Claude subscription. This processing is subject to, and governed by, the confidentiality and data protection terms of Anthropic's professional Claude subscription. Anthropic acts as a sub-processor within the meaning of Section 12.3 and is bound by the applicable Data Protection Laws requirements.
12.7 Analysis of Applications and Aggregated Insights
In addition to the evaluation of individual applications for the purposes of the competition, the Organizer, together with its quality partner Indefi, may analyse the body of applications received in order to (i) provide each applicant with individual feedback on its own application, including how it positions against relevant market benchmarks and trends, and (ii) produce aggregated analyses of market trends. Such aggregated analyses are derived from the body of applications as a whole, are presented in aggregate form only, and never identify an applicant nor disclose information relating to an individual application. Individual feedback is communicated solely to the applicant concerned. They may be published or otherwise shared by IPEM and/or Indefi.
